Sometimes I have to wonder about the decisions that college and universities make in the face of a crumbling economy. In February, Rutgers University announced that it would spend $500 million in the next three years to expand and upgrade its campuses. For those of you who are not from New Jersey, Rutgers essentially has three main campuses throughout New Jersey – one in Camden, one in Newark, and the main campus in the New Brunswick/Piscataway area. Oh Well…Susan Boyle 2.0 Is Upon Us
You knew this one was coming. A few weeks ago Susan Boyle broke onto the world stage and became an overnight internet sensation. She charmed the masses with her Plain Jane look and her powerful, angelic singing voice. Ms. Boyle presented the perfect combination of simplicity and talent that literally took the entire developed world by storm.

A Little Late on this One, But Why Not?
Okay, so I’m about ten days late on this entry to the blog – my apologies. The topic of this entry is the tea party events that took place on April 15th as a sign of disgust with the increasing number of taxes that Americans are being asked to pay. I didn’t attend any of these tea parties (even though one was taking place literally one block away from my office), but I did watch the coverage on the news and I engaged in a lot of post-party reading on the internet.

Update on Federal Tax Credit for Student Loan Interest
Any reader of this blog can tell you that I often put up notes and updates about my student loans. Well, there is more that I do in the student loan world besides complain about my lenders or celebrate small successes. Cutting the Cost of Your Digital Services
Do you find that you’re spending a lot of money on digital services? I think that if most people sit down and review where they are spending money, they will notice that expenses such as the telephone, cable, internet, fax, and cell phone are taking up an increasingly large portion of their monthly income.
