Anyway, the woman two treadmills down from me was the epitome of a clod hopper! Every step she took on the machine you would have thought that she was going to go through the floor. I’ll never understand why some people don’t pick up their feet when they get on the treadmills, but you know what? This woman was going at a pretty good pace and she was burning calories like it was her job. Impressive…

But still funny!

The other funny observation that I had at the gym today was the guy on the treadmill next to me. For those of you that go on these treadmills you know that you can increase the incline on the machine to simulate the going up hill effect. It’s actually a great way to burn more calories over the course of a week. Anyway, this guy get on the treadmill next to me and sets the incline at such a ridiculous level that he’s practically falling off of the machine! It was pretty funny – he couldn’t even swing his arms as he was walking because he had to hold on to the top of the machine to stay on it.

Clod hoppers and mountain climbers…hilarious!

• The obvious – she’s a woman. Palin might be able to bring in even more of the Clinton voters that have been disenfranchised by a biased media and a sexist primary campaign. Side note – welcome to all of those disenfranchised Democrats who now (finally) see how biased the major media networks can be!
• Palin is a hardcore conservative. She’s a supporter of the NRA and a pro-life candidate. This will help shore up the far-right votes which have been elusive for John McCain.
• She’s the epitome of a Washington outsider. You can’t really get much further from Washington, DC than the state of Alaska!
• Choosing Palin immediately gives the McCain campaign the mantle of “change.” I’m a huge supporter of Joe Biden, but he (like McCain) has been in Washington for quite some time. The choice of a young, female Governor from thousands of miles away represents true change.

There are some other good things that can be said about the Palin pick, but I’m sure you will all be reviewing the many comments all over the internet today!

This guy tried to bribe my former boss (who was also a dolt). He wrote down a number on a napkin, passed it to my boss, and after my boss told him to shove his napkin up his ass Weldon ordered his henchmen to make life a living hell for my former company. I used to work in the rental business and we couldn’t get Certificates of Occupancy without threatening a lawsuit. Our college houses were put at the top of some indefensible “list” created by Weldon and his former Chief of Police. Our tenants received citation after citation. We would have tenants receive parking violation citations while the house NEXT DOOR would not receive them.

Terry Weldon is the epitome of a scumbag and I’m glad that the FBI stung his ass. I only hope that they keep digging deeper and go after the rotten bastards that worked underneath him and acted as his henchmen. Slimy, scuzzy, no good idiots.
