I long didn't understand the point of Twitter. Through the last year, I finally did begin to get into it and have a better understanding now. I enjoy it because I follow radio stations, sports websites, individual sports reporters, talk show hosts, media websites, tech news websites, artists, etc. -- all people I am interested in. The best example I can give is that me being a baseball fan, I really appreciated Twitter last winter during baseball's winter meetings. By following all my favorite sports websites and individual baseball reporters, I was pretty much able to follow all the rumors and reports up to the minute.

Well, I just integrated some type of weird system into the back end of this blog that allows for the Twitter feed to be automatically updated each time I post a new entry on JerseySmarts.com. This should decrease my time spent working with the Twitter account, thank goodness!

But it's good to hear that you're giving this Twitter stuff a positive review. I'm still not sold yet, but I admit that there seems to be something to it.

You know, I thought I would hate Twitter too...never wanted one. But I broke down and got one about 10 days ago because I needed to teach it to somebody else for another project, and you know what, it's actually kind of fun. Not only is it a good promotion tool, but it's also a good way to get down passing thoughts you might have before you forget them. Sometimes you can flesh them out into entire blog posts, sometimes they can just stand on their own and help readers get to know you a bit better. Some folks there are pretty goddamn uninteresting, but you can actually get a lot out of it if you start following interesting people. Twitter definitely has its place in the world. It's really good for getting information out quickly.
