It would just be redundant to explain to you all how that thoughtlessly assembled finale was wrong in every respect, for you all already know. If you are like me and still can't get over how they -I would go so far as to say RAPED- us, we are going to have to the ending redone, even if we have to come up with the story ourselves.

While scouring the web searching for people who share my frustration, I've noticed that there are many face book pages who felt the ending was unacceptable. The problem is that they are small, so they go unnoticed. To have progress, what we need to do is band all of these small groups together.

Please google "1000000 people who want the producers to reshoot the lost ending" and join the face book page that comes up. Now its creator does seem to be a troll who never liked the show, but it is established, and he is in the media; we can make the page serious.

PLEASE come join, and tell everyone you know, and anyone you meet at any venue about the page because that end had minimal thought put into it, and was just unacceptable,

There is nothing to say that ABC can not simply decree the last two episodes as uncanon, and release a appropriate ending. If we can show that there are viewers, ABC will see the money in it.Even if you have no ideas on how to end the show, please spread awareness. There were die hard fans who would spend hours after the show would end having intellectual conversations and would come brilliant theories, only to be metaphorically sodomized by team Darlton. Those fans must have justice!

So please come join " 1000000 people who want the producers to reshoot the lost ending"

ABC has just released a statement saying that the final image of the wreckage was NOT part of the finale itself, but something they put in there as a transition from the ending to the late night news. A lot of people were speculating on whether the wreckage was Ajira or Oceanic. It was in deed Oceanic but had nothing to do with the actual plot of the finale. They were not in purgatory on the island. The sneaker hanging from the tree is proof that Jack died many years after the original crash, after fulfilling his destiny.

I totally agree with Jean. I don't think that the turbulence marks when Jack dies. I truly believe that all the passengers died on the first episode. That's the reason Locke can walk and the old lady that had cancer suddenly doesn't have it anymore. The island and time travelling and sideways world were all methods for the characters to complete something and go on with there "lives". For example Sawyer was able to kill the gay that conned his dad. Hurly was able to realize he didn't have bad luck and the lottery number wasn't cursed. Every character finished in the island what they couldn't while they were alive. In the case of Michael, Lapidus, etc. I guess they weren't capable of realizing they were dead but maybe will later. Who knows, I don't care, I'm happy for the ones who did :)

I thought the last scene at the beach with no human life was to further enforce that no one survived the crash and that their adventures on the island and also the sideways world was part of their struggles in purgatory like state.

However, there's heated debate on whether the island experience was real and the sideways world was not...blah, blah, blah...I tend to think both were purgatory (though not necessarily in a purely Catholic or Christian sense but in a general way). I mean come on, black smoke monster is real? and all the weird stuff happened on the island was real? but the mundane regular sideways world wasn't?

Others split hairs about Christian's last statement about people dying at different times meaning that they lived out their lives like everyone on the Ajira plane...but I think it explains other people who didn't crash on the original Oceanic 815 who also met up with them and the Others. I don't think it refers to different people on Oceanic 815. Plus no one survives a crash like that...it's a miracle if there are survivors let alone a good chunk of the passengers! Also, according to the Island timeline, Aaron should have been older than the infant at the church. If Claire died later and so did Aaron, then why did Aaron appear as a newborn?

Anyway, I did enjoy the ending overall and found it very emotional; I'm also glad that it's over too.

They didn't do a good enough job of bringing closure to the Dharma Initiative storyline and there should have been more time dedicated to Richard Alpert's post-island life. What does a 230-something year old man do in the modern world?!
