Excellent review Joe.

I was in a Barnes and Nobles about a month ago, and there was a special display table with classics, many of which I read in school. Fahrenheit 451 was one of them, and while I didn't like the book sophomore year in high school, I strongly considered picking it up for the same reason why you are suggesting it now.

On a somewhat related scale, you might like the book "The Dumbest Generation: How the Digital Age Stupefies Young Americans and Jeopardizes Our Future." I bought the book and will be reading it later this month or next. I spoke about the book after hearing the author interviewed on the radio about two weeks - it's somewhere on my blog, first page, I believe.
