Good President or bad President aside, I can’t believe how the haters began bashing his good bye speech. Totally classless.

I hope that he doesn’t continue to get bashed when he’s out of the White House. He should receive the same reserved respect that other former Presidents get (i.e. Jimmy Carter – who was probably in the bottom 10 Presidents of all time).

There’s no denying that President Bush is a nice man. In fact, I’m sure 100% that he has good intentions for most things he does in life. There’s also no denying his ability to connect with a crowd (which to me is the only reason he got elected in the first place with that background). I think he’s got a lot of charisma and a very charming vibe about him that gets to people. He used to be better at it eight years ago, but that’s only the nature of the game. I can’t say I’m a Bush “hater” because that’s just silly. The “fanatics” you speak of take it too far and I agree with you completely on that. I do want to note, however, that in my opinion Bush was a horrible president for most of his eight years in the White House.
