Apparently you didn't read the linked article or the blurb quoted, stupid. They re-elected him in 2006 - after they found the money in his freezer. And since you didn't read the second sentence of this post which says how he was sent back to a runoff election this time around (and obviously not re-elected since it's not election day yet), then I have little use for your comments. You see, in America we have something called Election Day in November. THAT is when he will either be re-elected or tossed out. That is how we conduct elections in this country, silly.

It's a shame that most people can't see through their own bullshit ideologies - in this case, that they can't even read what it is that they are responding to in a small-time blog. And if you know anything about this blog you know that I am not a Republican nor is this a safe haven for any political party.

Thanks for being an asshole, dummy.

I feel I have to explain to people like yourself who may not be familiar with how we conduct elections in this country that this was a Democratic primary, not the general election. Mr. Jefferson has not be re-elected to anything.

Oh, and as a note: it was largely courtesy of suburban voters in Jefferson Parish that Mr. Jefferson did so well. They seem to have this theory that if they keep sending him back, one day he will be indicted and in a special election they will get to send one of their own to Congress.

The same happened last time, so Mr. Jefferson's longevity is in fact largely an artifact of idiotic Republican attempts to game the system. Thanks assholes.
