When I worked for the property management company for a few years and we were renting out hundreds of units, we would only HOPE that someone would give us a money order or cashier’s check since it was guaranteed money.

This guy wants a check from me, but I’m just not going to do it – with all of the shit that I have to do in a day, the last thing I need/want to worry about is whether or not this guy cashed my check after 5 days…10 days…20 days…30 days!!!

I used to be a landlord and one of the aggravations I had was chasing down checks from individuals. It seems you have come up with a very landlord friendly method to pay which does not have the drawback of bounced checks. What was he expecting credit cards or what? Is he trying to not declare his income from the rent?
