Ok, if you don't like my description of her as dopey which I personally think she is because that's how her speaking manner comes off to me for some reason (not just because of the party she's running for), how about disengenuous no good run of the mill bottom feeding political scum that isn't going to change anything for the better?
http://www.thepresidentialcandidates.us/about-sarah-palin-a-letter-from-anne-kilkenny/741

All of the talk about change is nothing but horseshit no matter which side it comes from. No matter who wins you're still stuck with politicians. That's the downfall of any political system you can name anywhere in the world. Just once I'd love it if somebody running for or currently in a public office who actually has some pull would be honest when it counted.

I'm sure I probably sound like a bit of a maniac, but I've got a bigtime disgust for the political system. Canada will soon be going to the polls for an election that nobody wants so that we can choose between candidates from the far left and far right none of whom I'd trust to lead my country. This election also has the added bonus of solving nothing because we'll likely end up with another minority parliament and be back at the voting booth in another year or 2 anyway. Ug.

Well, there's a lot of bias in your response directed towards Palin so it's not really worth going into depth to respond. Suggesting that Palin comes off as dopey shows a large disconnect with regular American families across the United States. She comes off like every "soccer" Mom that I've ever met.

I do think, however, that this disconnect that you show will be a downfall for the Democrats this election year.

The problem with the American system is that these two parties are essentially a two-headed monster and I whole-heartedly agree that we do not have great candidates to choose from this election cycle. Unfortunately, the media chooses our candidates these days...

Christ, I'm glad I live in Canada and don't have to vote in your election. The fates of your 2 major parties rest in the hands of 2 tickets I'd never vote for in a million years. I wouldn't vote for Obama/Biden because they don't seem to stand for much, and what they do stand for I don't like especially when it comes to some of Biden's decisions. I believe he tried to bring in a Patriot Act style law long before 9/11, among other horseshit decisions designed to screw with the public.

Plus I lost whatever respect I had for Obama when he voted to give the telecom companies retroactive immunity to lawsuits they should be facing from everybody in the country who has been spied on unlawfully.

As for McCain, I wouldn't vote for him because I somewhat know what he stands for, and after the last 8 years I can't believe anybody would want to go down the Republican road again. Plus, and I know it's not a huge deal, he was one of those anti MMA folks who tried to get the sport banned using that stupid cockfighting argument. Anybody who says that with even the slightest hint of seriousness needs to be kicked in the ovaries.

Oh, and Palin comes off as so dopey every time I see her. Somehow it worked for Bush (not in my opinion but you can't argue with facts), but I doubt it's going to be all that endearing this time. Like I said in another comment, selecting her was nothing more than a pathetic attempt to pander to the women from the you go girl! crowd. She doesn't represent change, she represents typical political ass kissing horseshit.
