She said she was insulted that ads appeared on services she paid for. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH. I get the Stern show through a peer sharing internet network for free. The ONLY reason I do not subscribe to Sirius in the commercials. Who wants to pay for commercials when you can get the commercial free version for FREE. I would like to do the right thing and support satellite but the commercials suck so bad, I will not do it. There must be many more in my boat.

I’ve been trying to listen this morning and the show is almost unlistenable at this point with the amount of non-live content that is being thrown out there. I guess I wouldn’t be so offended if they didn’t have every Friday off plus what appears to be some 10 weeks each year.

But, what can you do, right? I wonder what attrition rates are for Sirius these days.

One of my best friends from college is currently an intern there and some of the things I hear sort of confirm what I think about him.

Anyway, yes – the commercials are really out of control. What I like about Bubba’s show (I like almost everything about Bubba’s show) is that his commercial breaks are between 3 and 5 minutes long. I can deal with that. But these 10+ minute breaks on Howard’s show are just downright insulting.

It would be tough to get rid of the Sirius, though – especially with the 24/7 Christmas channels!
