None of the nonsense endings people have thought up would have been any good. They all would have been a let down. Tony goes to the FEDS, not believable, not in his character, they didn’t want to off him, a dream sequence would have made me throw my TV out my window…so this seems like it actually makes sense now that it has set in.

I believe that is what David Chase wanted – to leave us all hanging. Whether we are to choose our own ending or await a movie, I’m not sure. I was mad at first because I was getting so anxious during that restaurant scene, I almost felt like pacing. And when it cut to black it threw me for a loop! But if that is what Chase wanted, he succeeded.
