Yet this is a problem that wasn’t brought up during the debates. The point of the post was that we, as a nation, are allowing our media (which is controlled by both extreme liberal and extreme conservative interests) to set the political agenda of the nation. The people need to speak up and get real problems and real issues on the table.

I find it amazing that we, as a nation, cannot figure this out and yet we have this AWESOME tool at our fingertips in the internet.

Gay members are. 11,000 of them.

Arabic linguists’ getting kicked out is an important subject, especially when the military is desperately trying to find basic soldiers. Finding someone who speaks Arabic, or has the aptitude to do so, AND can hold a security clearance is a daunting task. Not to mention that firing someone because of who they are, even when they’re not causing a problem, is just wrong.
