The Giants Win and Secure Home Field Advantage
December 22nd, 2008 | Added to Sports

Derrick Ward lifted the New York Giants over the Carolina Panthers in an amazing game last night, broadcast locally on NBC. I was busy for the first few minutes of the first quarter, but I can’t remember watching a game that was so thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat since last year’s playoffs.

Derrick Ward was an all-star as he led the team rushing with 215 yards. The victory brings the Giants to 12 – 3 and positions them at the top of the NFC. This means that they get home field advantage in the playoffs and a first round bye. The Giants need to play more like they did in the last half of the game last night if they want to make it to the SuperBowl and I think the home field advantage will give them the extra umph that they need to go back to the big game.
