Why Are Gas Prices Still High?
May 21st, 2006 | Added to Random Entries

In case anyone hasn’t noticed, gas prices – by the barrel – are going down. This past Friday they closed below $69 for the first time in five weeks. Funny how my gas station down the street has the same gas prices that it had five weeks ago when this spike was reaching its high point…

What the hell is wrong with the American people? Are our attention spans so short that we just begin to accept the fact that we’re paying more for gas? Does anyone remember the report released by the University of Wisconsin economist last August that said in order for gas to be $3.00 per gallon it would have to be some astronomical $250+ per barrel? Do we just hear about ExxonMobil making record QUARTERLY (that’s a three month period, folks) profits but then forget about it when American Idol comes on at night?

Come on people! Someone has to get pissed off at this! I can’t be the only one in the world who realizes that there is something numerically wrong with gas prices STILL being near $3.00 per gallon when the barrel rate is falling!

Ugh…everyone in America should be pissed off about this.

$3 a gallon? You must be lucky… In Los Angeles, the most busiest car city in the world, gas prices are now $3.55 a gallon in most places…

  2. Joe says:

That’s because you live in a quasi-socialist state that taxes the hell out of its citizens.
