How Have High Gas Prices Hurt You?
April 27th, 2006 | Added to Random Entries

I thought it would be interesting to see how higher gas prices affect us as consumers in the market. As shallow as some of these items may seem, these are some of the ways in which records high gas prices have taken a toll on my expenses in the last month. Please feel free to add how gas prices have put a crunch on you.

Because of higher gas prices, I have:

  • …not purchased “fun” items like DVDs or books
  • …stopped driving to Rutgers to go swimming (I LOVE swimming)
  • …not attended class meetings on campus due to the commute
  • …not gone food shopping on a regular basis
  • …put no money into my savings account
  • …not been able to go clothes shopping for the summer/spring season
  • …been unable to make donations to my selected charities
  • …put off paying my rent

Again, feel free to add your own points. Thanks!
