I just got the word that Jon Corzine won my state’s Governor’s Race. Oh well…whatever!
I didn’t vote for him because he seems like a real party pooper to me (oh, and I didn’t like many of his policies, either). But hey, this is New Jersey – anyone can win any election at any point in time!
I think the saddest thing about this year’s election cycle (not just the Governor’s Race, but all of the races down here in Monmouth County) is that they all got so stupidly personal and unnecessarily mean. This whole thing is supposed to be about issues, not personal lives or saying that someone is a jerk off, etc. That type of bullshit leads many of my fellow NJ voters to blow off statewide elections.
However, what’s even sadder is that those smear tactics work in this state…
